Pasta with Lentils and Wine/Cider Sauce

This is a good winter wholesome pasta dish, I normally double the amount of lentils. I also double the sauce, so put half in the freezer, for those days, when I can't be asked.

  1. Fry the veg until soft including the garlic, around 10 minutes.
  2. -
    • HOB: Add all the other ingredients except the pasta of course. bring to the boil then simmer for 30 minutes.
    • SLOW COOKER: Add the sautéed mix with the other ingredients (except the pasta of course), to the slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on high.
  3. Put the pasta on 10 minutes before end of sauce cooking time. Drain the pasta, and add the cooked sauce to the pasta.
